Privacy Policy

We collect only what we need to run the Site and communicate with you.

Information you give us directly:

• Newsletter signup: first name and email address.
• Contact form: name, email address, subject category, and the contents of your message.
• Speaking, media, or business inquiries: any details you choose to include, such as organization, event date, or budget.
• Account access (admin only): if you sign in to a restricted area, your Google account email and authentication identifiers.

Information collected automatically:

• IP address, approximate location derived from IP, browser type, device type, and operating system.
• Pages viewed, referring URLs, links clicked, time on page, and similar usage data.
• Cookies, pixels, local storage, and similar technologies (including advertising and analytics pixels described in Section 4).

We do not intentionally collect sensitive categories of personal data (such as health, financial account numbers, government IDs, precise geolocation, biometric data, or information about protected characteristics), and you should not send them to us.

• To send The AI Brief newsletter and related content you requested.
• To respond to contact, speaking, media, and business inquiries.
• To operate, secure, maintain, and improve the Site and its content.
• To measure the performance of content, email, and advertising campaigns.
• To create aggregated or de-identified statistics that do not identify you.
• To comply with legal obligations and to enforce our Terms of Service.

Our legal bases where applicable (for example, under the GDPR) are: your consent (newsletter and non-essential cookies), our legitimate interests (site security, analytics, responding to inquiries), and compliance with legal obligations.

• We only send the newsletter to people who submit their email address through a signup form on the Site or an authorized landing page.
• Newsletter signups use confirmed (double) opt-in: you receive a confirmation email and are only subscribed after you confirm.
• Every marketing email includes a working one-click unsubscribe link. You can unsubscribe at any time, and we honor requests promptly.
• We do not sell, rent, or trade your email address, and we do not share it with unaffiliated third parties for their own marketing.
• We may send transactional or administrative messages (for example, replying to your inquiry or confirming a subscription) even if you have opted out of marketing email.

The Site may use cookies, pixels, SDKs, and similar technologies for essential functionality, analytics, and advertising measurement. This can include the Meta Pixel and Meta Conversions API (Facebook and Instagram), as well as search and analytics providers.

• Advertising tools may collect device identifiers, IP address, browsing actions on the Site, and event data such as page views, content views, and form submissions.
• This data may be used to measure ad performance, build audiences, and show you relevant ads on Meta platforms and elsewhere.
• Where any hashed contact information is shared for advertising or measurement, it is shared only in accordance with the applicable platform's business tools terms, and only where we have a lawful basis or your consent.
• We do not use advertising tools to target or infer sensitive categories, and we do not knowingly transmit sensitive data through any pixel or conversions integration.

You can control cookies through your browser settings, opt out of interest-based advertising through the DAA opt-out tool, and manage Meta ad preferences in your Facebook or Instagram account settings. Blocking cookies may affect Site functionality.

We share personal information only with service providers who process it on our behalf, and only as needed to deliver the Site. These currently include categories such as:

• Email marketing and delivery platforms (to store subscriber records and send the newsletter).
• Transactional email providers (to deliver contact form submissions to our inbox).
• Cloud hosting, database, storage, and authentication providers.
• Content delivery, security, and DNS providers.
• Analytics and advertising measurement providers, including Meta Platforms.
• Embedded video players (for example, YouTube), which may set their own cookies when you play a video.

We may also disclose information if required by law, subpoena, or legal process; to protect our rights, safety, or property; or in connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, in which case we will require the recipient to honor this Policy. We do not sell your personal information and we do not share it for cross-context behavioral advertising in a way that requires an opt-out under applicable law beyond the controls described in Section 4.

We keep newsletter records for as long as you remain subscribed and for a reasonable period afterward to honor your unsubscribe request and maintain suppression lists. Contact form submissions are retained for as long as needed to respond and to keep a record of the inquiry. Analytics and advertising data are retained according to the applicable provider's default retention windows. We delete or de-identify information when it is no longer needed.

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to:

• Access the personal information we hold about you.
• Correct inaccurate personal information.
• Delete your personal information.
• Withdraw consent or opt out of marketing at any time.
• Request a portable copy of information you provided to us.
• Object to or restrict certain processing.
• Not receive discriminatory treatment for exercising these rights.

Data deletion request:

To request deletion of your data, email cg@comebackcode.ai with the subject line “Data Deletion Request” and the email address you used. We will verify the request and respond within 30 days (or the shorter period required by your local law). If you interacted with us through a Facebook or Instagram feature, you may also use that platform's built-in settings to remove the connection, and you may send us the same deletion request by email.

We use reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards, including encrypted transport (HTTPS), access controls, and restricted database permissions. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

The Site is intended for adults and is not directed to children under 13 (or under 16 in jurisdictions where that is the applicable age). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided information, email us and we will delete it.

The Site is operated in the United States. If you access it from outside the United States, you understand that your information may be transferred to, stored, and processed in the United States, where privacy laws may differ from those in your country. Where required, we rely on appropriate transfer mechanisms such as Standard Contractual Clauses.

The Site links to third-party sites, podcasts, books, tools, and social profiles, and may include affiliate links. We are not responsible for the privacy practices or content of those third parties. Review their policies before providing information. Our presence on platforms such as Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, YouTube, and TikTok is also governed by those platforms' own policies.

Some content on the Site is produced with the assistance of artificial intelligence tools. Please review the AI Content Disclaimer for important limitations. We do not use information you submit through the contact form or newsletter to train public AI models.

We may update this Policy from time to time. The “Last updated” date above reflects the most recent version. Material changes will be highlighted on this page. Continued use of the Site after an update constitutes acceptance of the revised Policy.
